Dalyan is located in the Aegean region of western Turkey, about 90 km from Marmaris and 60 km from Fethiye city center. It is a tourist attraction, as it is a tourist destination on the Aegean Sea and its coast is a breeding ground for the endangered Creta sea turtle.
Dalyan is bordered by a freshwater lake and a saltwater lake to form the delta of the Dalyan River, which extends and branches for more than 20 kilometers. It has been the lifeline for hundreds of years and the most important source of livelihood for the people of the region with its abundant and diverse fish. The mountains surrounding the Dalyan River are dotted with rocky facades that look like suspended entrances overlooking Dalyan. These are caves dug by hand to be the tombs of the great men of the Kingdom of "Kanos", which is called King Rock, dating back about 3,000 years. This ancient city adds another different attraction to this small town.
Dalyan is one of the most beautiful areas in the Turkish Riviera. In this village, history and nature blend to create unforgettable memories. Dalyan is famous for its river, from which it takes its name. The Dalyan region is filled with therapeutic mud pools.
