EFES TOUR FROM BODRUM
Ephesus Tour is a tour to explore the ancient sites, areas and monuments of the Greek, Roman and Byzantine civilizations, to be an amazing tour through the past of one of the greatest empires the world has ever seen.
Our trip starts early in the morning after picking you up from the hotel to head to Izmir, to the Selcuk region, which contains the historical city of Ephesus. During the way, our guides will provide information and details about this ancient city with a rich history. The city of Ephesus, in Turkish EFES, was founded in the 10th century BC by the ancient Greeks and was an important commercial and political center in ancient times. It is located in the historical region of Lydia in western Anatolia in Izmir province, on the Kester River that flows into the Aegean Sea. It is about two and a half hours away from Bodrum, at a distance of 175 km north of Bodrum.
Upon arrival in Ephesus, the guides will accompany you and share with you some interesting stories about the past and relevant information about the history, culture, daily life, ancient architecture and myths of Ephesus. Do not miss the opportunity to visit the Celsus Library, the most impressive building in Ephesus, and the ancient Roman theater. After that, we will go to have lunch in a traditional Turkish restaurant and continue our trip with free time during which you can visit the Ephesus Archaeological Museum, where the museum contains many important statues and artifacts, including a preserved part of the original Temple of Artemis, and visit the House of the Virgin Mary on Mount Bulbul, where archaeologists and historians believe that the mother of Christ lived the end of her life there. Our trip ends after a long and exciting day by returning to Bodrum and taking you back to the hotel.
