Black Island "Kara Island"
Black Island or Kara Adası is one of two relatively small islands at the entrance to Bodrum's main harbour unlike the famous Bodrum Castle. It is named Black Island in reference to the dark lava rocks found on the island.
Kara Adasi Island is one of the favorite destinations for tourists interested in sea trips, and the largest island in the Bodrum Peninsula, as this island is characterized by dense vegetation and pine forests, and there is a cave at the entrance to the island that is used as a marina for boats, and the island's fame increased after the discovery of therapeutic mud swamps formed by sulfurous waters emerging from the ground that used for skin diseases, and there are many bays and beaches in the back of the island that are classified as nature reserves and can be swum in.
