Located in the Bodrum district of Mugla province in southwestern Turkey, Bodrum Castle, also known as St. Peter's Castle, is one of the most famous historical landmarks in Bodrum, Turkey. Bodrum Castle attracts thousands of visitors annually for its rich history and unique architecture.
Bodrum Castle was built in the 15th century by the Knights of St. John as their defensive base and also as their residence.

Inside Bodrum Castle is a museum of maritime archaeology that displays artifacts found from ancient ships that sank in the waters surrounding Bodrum. Visitors can see shipwrecks, maritime equipment, and other historical objects that provide an insight into trade and life in the past.
