Roman amphitheater of Aspendos

Aspendos Theatre is a Roman theatre located in the ancient town of Aspendos , about 50 km east of Antalya.

The Aspendos Theatre was built in the 2nd century AD and is one of the most famous preserved ancient theaters in the Greco-Roman world. The theater is about 30 meters high and can accommodate 25,000 people. It is one of the most important tourist attractions in Turkey due to the magnificence of its design, the enormity of its construction and the antiquity of its history.

The theater was built on the orders of the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius and is still used today for opera and ballet performances, which are held every year in September.
